Phygs are pigs with wings. They have wings (much like Cows) and are tamable. Their color/texture is no different from one of a normal pig. Their spawning patterns are very similar to those of whales, and they spawn in groups of 1-3.

Phygs don't fly unless you ride them. When you ride them, put a Saddle on them to tame them. Phygs spawn on peaceful difficulty and, if tamed, are an excellent way of transportation around the Aether thanks to their gliding abilities and jumps, particularly with Blue Aercloud jumps. Although Phygs are able to jump and glide a great distance. They can be used as an alternative to Moas, however, as they still provide more mobility to the player than walking or using items such as parachutes.

Phygs can be bred with Oranges and Berries.

When the player first rides a Phyg, the Aether achievement "When Phygs Fly" is unlocked.
